Timber Loft, cottages and apartments for 2 to 12 guests – ideal for couples, families and groups. Tallen sleeps up to 12 people, Björken and Brinka up to 6 each. Dogs are welcome everywhere.

Summer (May–Sep): hiking, fishing, canoeing and nature camping. Winter (Dec–Mar): cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling – then sauna and hot tub.

Crispy schnitzel and cordon bleu, freshly made – for hotel guests and anyone passing by.

Families, groups & workation

Big family, group of friends or club: Tallen sleeps up to 12 people, Björken and Brinka up to 6 each – combined, even larger groups fit. Kids love the forest, the fire pits and the freedom. Dogs are welcome.

​Work where others holiday: reliable Wi-Fi in all accommodations, quiet workspaces and nature on your doorstep – ideal for longer stays too. Sauna and hot tub can be added on request.

Welcome – We Are Sabrina & Jonas

In June 2022, we – Sabrina and Jonas Rotzler – swapped life in Basel for the forests of Hälsingland. Today we live and work here together with our 5 children – surrounded by nature, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

What started as a family dream has grown into a real family business. Together with our wonderful team, we warmly welcome you to Skålsjögården Timber Lodge – a place to breathe, slow down and truly arrive.

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, in all units – SEK 250 per dog per stay. We have no allergy-friendly rooms.

Is it child-friendly?

Yes – we are a family with five children ourselves. Lots of space, forest and nature right outside the door.

Can I eat at the restaurant without staying overnight?

Yes. Schnitzelhuset is open to everyone on Saturday and Sunday, 11:30–15:00. You can book a table online.

Is there a sauna and hot tub?

Yes, both can be added to your stay on request – just ask us.

​

When are you open?

Summer May–September, winter December–March with cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. Everything is closed in November and April.

Do you have room for large groups?

Yes. Tallen sleeps up to 12 people, Björken and Brinka up to 6 each.

Is there Wi-Fi?

​Yes, in all units – except Ledarstuga and the nature campsite.
